Our French unit operates in Converteam main markets: Oil & Gas where our expertise in high-speed solutions is acknowledged worldwide, Industry with a particular focus on Metals, Energy, and Marine as a leading supplier of electric propulsion systems in both the cruise and LNG sectors. Customers can choose from a complete system offering and a large range of services, from feasibility to design, manufacturing, assembly and commissioning.
Converteam has four manufacturing facilities, three in Eastern France and one near Paris. Our rotating machines division near Nancy designs and manufactures a large range of synchronous and induction motors, and plays a significant role in the development of high-speed motors with an extension of the range to higher frame-size motors. Our facility in Belfort is the center of excellence for the Marine business and for Converteam's medium voltage drive development, where a strong R&D team is dedicated to power electronics research. Our plant near Massy produces variable-speed drives, especially the MV7000 medium-voltage drive.
